The NBE delves deep into the heart of American music. Alongside Native American singer Charly Lowry, a musical talent and descendant of the Tuscarora tribe, the NBE explores the beauty of Native American culture. Also, seeking our roots in nature was Philip Glass, whose iconic film score “Koyaanisqatsi,” adapted for the ensemble, serves as a common thread throughout the program. Like a meandering river, the two musical landscapes merge, accompanied by live projections from the young visual artist Vincent Rang.
Originally, American Roots was scheduled with guest artist Pura Fé. Due to personal circumstances, she had to cancel, and we are pleased that Charly Lowry, also deeply connected to her Native American roots, can step in as a replacement.
