April 2026 – This year, the NBE is once again taking part in the Nacht van de Vluchteling (Night of the Refugee), an initiative by Stichting Vluchteling, with a team of musicians, supporters, and staff. On June 20, we will walk 10, 20, or 40 kilometers in a single evening or night to support people who have been forced to flee their homes. Will you walk with us? Or support us from the sidelines?

Stichting Vluchteling provides emergency aid to displaced people around the world. With our participation, we aim to raise awareness for the life-saving support they have been offering for 50 years. Together, the NBE and Stichting Vluchteling also organize the annual concert in September around the International Day of Peace, giving a stage to people on the move — a tribute to peace and connection. The Night of the Refugee is a meaningful prelude to this special event and highlights the partnership between NBE and Stichting Vluchteling.
Join our team. One NBE team will start at 6:30 PM from the Westergasfabriek in Amsterdam for the 20 km route, but you can also choose a different distance or start from another city. For example, one of our colleagues will walk the 40 km route from Tilburg to Den Bosch.
However many kilometers you walk, and wherever you start — together we show that people on the move are not alone.
