Description
In a new series of concerts in March 1999, the Nederlands Blazers Ensemble presented Bloed (Blood), a project focusing on the composer Cornelis de Bondt (b. 1953). The project made a real impression on audience and press alike.
BLOED is about love, war and power and is a mix of renaissance music, electronic and instrumental music compiled and composed by Cornelis de Bondt.
The texts are gleaned from the book of Exodus, Virgil, Shakespeare and the anonymous lyrics of madrigals and motets from the 16th century.
