NBE’S LOTGENOTEN

Year after year, the NBE continues to captivate its audience with fresh programs. As if it were effortless, the ensemble constantly presents new combinations of diverse musical genres and surprises audiences with soloists previously unknown. The absolute highlight is the annual New Year’s Concert at the Concertgebouw. The NBE not only creates extraordinary music but also illustrates the kind of world we might live in if diverse cultures joined forces. To sustain this level of performance and pursue new dreams, a group of around 150 passionate fans has been actively supporting the ensemble since 2005.

Named fund

With a Named Fund, you can support the performances and projects of the NBE in a very personal and structured way. You can choose a specific focus, such as classical programming, educational and talent programs, composing with youth, international exchange programs, or another project that you find meaningful. As a donor, you can choose the name of the fund yourself.

Inheritance

The Netherlands Wind Ensemble (NBE) has been a phenomenon in the Dutch musical landscape for over sixty years. With around eighty performances per year, the ensemble is known nationally and internationally as an innovator in classical music programming. Every performance tells a story. On the one hand, we play beautiful pieces from the ‘great’ repertoire of famous composers such as Mahler, Bach, Beethoven and Mozart with great love and dedication. On the other hand, we passionately wrap our arms around a diverse group of fellow musicians from the neighbourhood or from another part of the world. We love to connect all musical styles. In every performance, we try to use the power of all those beautiful notes to tell our audience a story. A story that moves, amazes and touches your heart.

Young talent is the future. We believe it is extremely important that new generations continue to get to know music. In recent years, we have already encouraged thousands of children and young people to compose their own music and to make music together.
