Purcell goes celtic

At first sight, the 17th-century British genius Henry Purcell, composer of fragile and tender Baroque music, does not seem to be able to fuse with rough Irish Celtic music. However, the NBE shows that it is possible indeed, together with three Irish heroes and music that touches the soul deeply: Robbie Walsh on bodhrán (Irish drum), vocalist Piaras Ó Lorcáin and Cian Smith on Uilleann pipes (Irish bagpipes).
