Georgia

Last May, the Netherlands Wind Ensemble (NBE) toured in Georgia and sought out unique Georgian musicians that cherish and innovate their country’s traditional music. The NBE has invited them to the Netherlands in October to play on stage together. An evening with heart-warming Georgian polyphony, with music of the Georgian composer Gija Kantsjeli and including a wink here and there with the renowned Gori women’s choir and the rugged men’s choir Anchiskati. Seeing all these artists at one of our concerts – virtually or live – will make you feel like you’ve been to Georgia yourself.
