Description
An unusual portrait of Franz Liszt, who never wrote a single work for winds. Not a portrait of the conceited piano virtuoso who enjoyed rockstar status, but of the pensive and expectant Liszt, the idealist and visionary.
The NBE commissioned composers Geert van Keulen, Elmer Schönberger, Dmitri Smirnov and Peter-Jan Wagemans to make adaptations of the composer’s late pianoworks.
